In many ways, the human experience is an experience linked by stories. The grand narrative and the micro stories of our lives both matter, and both are worth sharing. If you’ve never had the chance to walk with Bob Cameron and hear the stories of a decade of faithful presence in the downtown core, you’ve missed an immersive experience.
Gather up friends, family, or a small group, and walk the sidewalks with the DWCC. See the neighbourhood with hopeful imagination. Hear the stories of strangers becoming friends, of the renewal of abandoned spaces, of hospitality and advocacy, and the grand story of building neighbourhood community that moves our city toward being a good place to grow up and a good place to grow old.
Each walk will commence at a downtown cafe where your group can debrief the sights, sounds, and stories you experienced. Our hope is that you will see the abundance that downtown has to offer, but more than that, you will catch a glimpse of the work of the DWCC in the renewal of our city.
