What if… there was a safe space for neighbours to enjoy each other’s company and innovate? Together to see our Downtown be “a good place to grow up and a good place to grow old.”

502 Wyandotte W. Community Centre

Every neighbourhood needs five types of Spaces for creating a healthy environment. The first four are a good Elementary School, a Community Park, a Community Centre, and a faith institution, (like a local church), that is looking out for the neighbourhood’s wellbeing.

The fifth Space are ‘3rd Spaces’ - places between work and home. They are common shared spaces where everyone has a right to be present; a neutral power place where we can meet as strangers or friends, and enjoy together a common space. 502 Wyandotte West serves as a combination 3rd space and community centre - it’s not only a safe space for DWCC initiatives but neighbourhood groups including Girl Guides, NA, and AA. If you need a space that dovetails with a common vision - “imagining Downtown as a good place to grow up and grow old” then let’s talk1 519 903 7629 or admin@dwcc.ca
